Guest Speaker Dr Sally Breen

Dr Sally Breen is the author of The Casuals (2011) winner of the Varuna Harper Collins Manuscript Prize and Atomic City (2013) shortlisted for Book of the Year QLD Literary Awards 2014. Her short form creative and non-fiction work has been published widely including features in OverlandGriffith ReviewMeanjin, The Guardian LondonThe AgeReview of Australian FictionBest Australian StoriesHemingway Shorts, TEXTThe Asia Literary ReviewThe Conversation and The Sydney Review of Books. Her latest work “Don’t You Know You’ve Got Legs – A Gold Coast Surf Culture Manifesto’ features in Lines to the Horizon out now with Fremantle Press. Dr Breen has worked as associate editor of the Griffith Review and is currently Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing and Publishing at Griffith University and executive director of Asia Pacific Writers and Translators.

South East Writers will develop benchmarks and adhere to industry standards. Actors, AudioBooks, Book trailers, Design, e-books, Distribution, Editing, Films, Illustration & supportive Artwork, Printing, Publishing, Crowd funding for publishing, Sub editing, Voice-Overs and Writing.
