Courage to Care 2019 Gold Coast Exhibition
Courage To Care
Courage to Care warmly invites you to attend the Courage to Care 2019 Gold Coast Exhibition. The Exhibition runs from June 3rd to June 28 in the Katranski Community Hall, 35 Markwell Ave, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.

The Exhibition is unique in Australia and it is a timely event, in a world where racism and prejudice are on the increase.
The uniqueness of the Exhibition comes in part, from Holocaust survivors, who share their stories of survival, and the role of non-Jews who put themselves at risk to save them. It includes many stories including that of Australian Aboriginal, William Cooper and Japanese Vice Consul in Lithuania, Chiune Sugihara, who saved over 6,000 Jews.

There are over 60 historical artefacts on display in the Exhibition.

A specially designed schools’ program is an important part of the Exhibition, with over 1,000 school students from the Gold Coast region already booked for the Exhibition. The school program also focuses on bullying, and the roles of the victim, perpetrator and bystander.

Courage to Care

We are a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organisation, that has run programs for over 20 years around Australia – covering over 200,000 participants including those in regional Australia. (Later this year we are taking the Exhibition to Moree in NSW.)

Group tours

We would like to invite your community group to take a FREE guided tour of the exhibition and meet one of the ‘living historians’. The 1.5 hour program includes:
  • - A short film positioning the exhibition in today’s context, with a focus on discrimination
  • - A guided tour of the exhibition featuring stories of rescue from World War II
  • - A firsthand account of a Holocaust survivor’s positive story
Bookings for this outstanding event are now being taken. To ensure you secure a booking and don’t miss out please contact the Hezie on (02) 9321 6301 or hezie@couragetocare.com.au.

The Seven Second Secret to Great Writing: how 7 seconds can make a story fascinating, and another 7 seconds can get it published. Creating a story is easy. Every time we describe how we had to wait in the phone queue for three hours because 'your call is important to us' while the kids were yelling for dinner we tell a story. Distilling your stories into words that work on a page is harder. And the secret is....
