Kellie M Cox has worked in the area of psychology for the last two decades giving her an insight and fascination for human behaviour which she applies to create complex and relatable characters. The themes for her stories often draw on her experience in supporting clients through major life transitions. Readers identify themselves within the pages of her books.
Writing about place, Kellie’s stories traverse the globe, taking readers to cities they dream to visit from Paris, Rome, Berlin, Barcelona, Bora Bora and even the Mekong Delta. Her own travel stories forming much of the inspiration for the settings and colourful characters readers fall in love with.
Playing with themes of life, love and death, Kellie relishes storytelling in the genres of magic realism, romance, suspense, and literary fiction to create books that stay with you long after you put them down. Her short stories can be found in anthologies for the Rainforest Writers Retreat 2023 and Gold Coast Writers’ Association 2019. She has published five books with her imprint, Strong Female Protagonists: Changing the Narrative of Gender in Storytelling.
