Inspiring, Supporting, and Elevating Australian Storytellers Since 2017

South East Writers Inc (SEW) was established in 2017 with a clear mission: to educate, support, and raise standards in the craft of writing and the broader creative arts.

We are a vibrant, not-for-profit community that welcomes writers and creatives from anywhere in the world—whether you’re a novelist, screenwriter, illustrator, editor, designer, or simply someone who loves telling stories.

At SEW, our purpose is to foster a supportive and constructive environment where writers of all levels can come together to share ideas, receive feedback, grow their skills, and stay motivated. We aim to spark creativity, encourage regular writing practice, and promote the exchange of ideas and techniques among members.

Through workshops, guest author talks, writing programs, and general association, SEW offers opportunities for learning, connection, and creative growth. Our members come from a broad mix of creative industries, and we’re proud to be a hub for shared knowledge, inspiration, and real-world expertise.

Whether you’re just starting out or deep into your writing journey, South East Writers is here to help you develop your voice—and get your story out into the world.
